Kambing Simpang Kendong

Ni hero baru kandang. Di beli pada 2008 (1 tahun 3 bulan umo masa tu) di impot dari De' Kebun
Ni tatau la F berapa gred. Pak sedara tolak murah (1 jantan + 5 betina = RM5000). Yg seko ni jek survive. Baru jek dapat hasil (betina)
Ni suma kambing jantan. Yang paling ujong kaler kelabu tu pioneer kandang ni. Daripada depan 3 ekor tu suma anak dia.

Kambing ni di beli dari Brader Omar Air Merbau . Dua kali dah beranak. Di gambar ni dengan anak pertama (betina). Latest kembar. Kedua-dua jantan.


Sama jugak ni beli dari Brader Omar. Kelahiran pertama jantan. Bulan ni anak cukup setahun. Kelahiran kedua kembar (betina) tapi seko jek survive.
Ni pun pioneer gak nih. Jenis katjang. 3-4 kali dah beranak. Ni snap tengah bunting. Kelahiran yang baru ni betina.
Ni pun sama, snap masa bunting. Kelahiran yang baru2 ni pun betina.

Ni 2nd batch masa 2007. Anak yang latest dalam gambo ni dua jantan. Kembar ketiga yang dihasilkan oleh kambing nih kalau tak silap la. hehe. Anak 1st betina (BBQ), Kembar 1st sepasang (jantan mati),kembar kedua (jantan).


































Penyakit Ternakan : Kembong





Penyakit kembong belaku apabila didapati pembesaran rumen dan reticulum (perut di bahagian abdomen kiri). Penyakit kembong ini mengakibatkan kerugian melalui kematian kepada ternakan. Selain daripada itu ia boleh mengurangkan kadar pengeluaran serta membataskan penggunaan berbagai jenis rumput-rumput kepada ternakan.
Kejadian kembong perut biasanya bertambah dalam pengurusan yang menggunakan baja yang banyak pada pasture dan apabila ternakan makan daun-daun kayu seperti daun ubi dan nangka terlalu banyak.


Aetiology (sebab-sebab kembong)
Sebab utama kejadian kembong adalah apabila kadar gas yang dihasilkan melebihi kadar pengeluaran gas (eructation).Gangguan yang terjadi menyebabkan gas yang dihasilkan terkumpul di dalam rumen yang kemudiannya membesar.Kelebihan gas yang dihasilkan adalah kerana mikro organisma dalam rumen dan juga oleh gangguan secara tidak langsungterhadap pengeluaran gas.

a.Gangguan secara fizikal (Physical disturbance)
- sekatan kepada esophagus (esophageal obstruction)
- abscess, adhesion, radang perut (gastritis)
- terlebih 'froth' dalam rumen
- kedudukan abomasum yang salah (displace abomansum)
b.Gangguan secara 'biochemical'
- makan daun-daun kayu yang beracun
- terbanyak makan dedak/palm kernel cake (PKC)
- 'sensitize' kepada uba-ubat
- kerosakan kepada sistem saraf

c.Gangguan melalui penyakit 'entero toxemia' dan keracunan nitrate.
Jika diperhatikan dengan betul, kita dapati penyakit kembong boleh dibahagi kepada dua sebab utama. Pertama disebabkan pengeluaran gas yang berlebihan dari yang dikeluarkan dari tubuh ternakan. Ini disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor pemakanan dan juga terdapat banyak gas 'foam' di dalam rumen. Kedua, disebabkan oleh sekatan kepada pergerakan gas yang dihasilkan secara fizikal.

Tanda-tanda klinikal
- pembesaran bahagian kiri abdomen (para lumbarfossa)
- ternakan menjadi resah - selalu duduk dan bangun
- kurang makan dan minum
- ternakan berada dalam kesakitan terutama di bahagian abdomen kiri.
- ternakan terbaring dalam kesakitan
- kematian
- kadar pernafasan bertambah dan ternakan menjadi sesak nafas (dyspnoea)

Rawatan
Asas utama dalam rawatan kembong adalah untuk mengetahui sebab ianya terjadi. Adakah disebabkan oleh penghasilan gas yang terlalu banyak atau terdapat sekatan kepada pengeluaran gas dari rumen.
Dalam penyekit kembong selain dari pengeluaran gas, ada juga terdapat buih (foam/frothy material) dan kedua-duanya perlu dikeluarkan untuk menjamin rawatan yang sesuai.

Untuk rawatan, anda perlu:-
- memasukkan tiub perut (stomach tube) melalui mulut untuk mengeluarkan gas yang terdapat dalam rumen.
- memberi ubat menahan kembong (anti bloat/anti foam agents) seperti Bloat guards yang diberi ke dalam rumen.
- memberi minyak kelapa (kelapa sawit/minyak masak) dengan tujuan memendakkan buih supaya memberi peluang kepada pengeluaran gas (100-500 ml)
- mengeluarkan gas dengan menggunakan ; trocar atau benda-benda tajam di sebelah kiri abdomen (bahagian atas).
- selain dari itu anda juga boleh menggunakan teknik pembedahan seperti 'rumenotomy' untuk mengeluarkan gas.


Pengawalan penyakit kembong
Bagi menjamin ternakan yang sehat sepanjang masa anda harus menjalankan beberapa kaedah pengurusan bagi mengawal penyakit kembong. Anda perlu memerhati agar dedak atau PKC yang diberikan kepada ternakan tidak terlalu halus.Kehalusan makanan seperti ini akan mempercepatkan pengeluaran gas serta menghasilkan buih yang banyak. Selaindari itu daun-daun kayu yang dimakan oleh ternakan juga perlu diberi perhatian. Jika terlalu banyak akan menyebabkan kembong kerana lebih gas dihasilkan.
Anda juga perlu memberi perhatian kepada pembajaan pastura yang terlalu banyak. Keadaan tanah yang sesuai dengan zat makanan yang cukup juga membantu dalam pengawalan penyakit kembong.
Selain dari faktor masa dan keadaan sekeliling yang terlalu memberi tekanan (stress) kepada ternakan juga boleh menyebabkan kembong terjadi. Anda seharusnya memberi pengubatan serta nasihat kepada penternak bagi mengawal penyakit kembong ini.








Penyakit Ternakan : Mastitis

Cara membuat diagnosa
- Pemeriksaan klinikal - tanda-tanda klinikal yang nyata (strip cup - Perubahan warna/keadaan/bau)
- Merasa dan meraba ambing susu
- Membuat california rapid mastitis test (CNRT /CMT RMT) untuk mengira sel leukocytes dalam susu.



Ujian-ujian yang boleh dilakukan dimakmal:
Susu
- bacteriology (culture untuk mengetahui agen penyebab.
- milk ring test

Serum
- cell count (inflamatory reaction)

Rawatan
- Rawatan mastitis bergantung kepada keadaan mastitis dan bilangan tetek yang terlibat.
- Jika hanya satu tetek (teat yang terlibat biasanya tiada perubahan pada suhu badan. Oleh kerana tiap-tiap satu tetek tidak berhubung antara satu dengan yang lain maka punca jangkitan utama adalah sentuhan dari pekerja/alatan yang digunakan untuk memerah serta kehadiran mikro oranisma

Untuk rawatan
- bersihkan kawasan terlibat menggunakan air suam bersama antiseptik. Tujuan air suam digunakan adalah untuk membantu dalam pengaliran darah yang boleh menambah pengeluaran susu. Antiseptik pula untuk membunuh atau menghalang pembiakan kuman di kawasan ambing susu.
- Perlu dikaitkan perubahan suhu badan untuk menentukan keadaan mastitis hanya setempat atau sistemik.
- perah susu ditetek yang terlibah/semua tetek sehingga habis.
- bersihkan semula menggunakan air suam bersama antiseptik tadi.- masukkan intra mammary infusion (antibiotik seperti orbenin LA, diproca, mamiject, mastalone dan lain-lain)
- rawatan diberi selama 3 - 5 hari bergantung kepada tindakbalas ternakan.
- rawatan secara sistemik diberi jika perlu dengan menggunakan antibiotik yang sesuai serta berkesan bersama infusion yang diberi.
- semasa rawatan susu mesti diperah setiap hari.
- selepas rawatan mesti juga diperah tetapi masih belum boleh diminum sebelum 6 - 7 hari kemudian.

Pengawalan

: Kebesihan pemerah/peralatan/ternakan sebelum dan selepas memerah
: Susu mesti diperah sampai habis tetapi tidak kuat atau lama sehingga merosakkan ambing susu.
: Rawatan lembu kering perlu diberi kepada lembu yang telah kering sebelum dilepaskan untuk pembiakan seterusnya.
: Kurangkan stress kepada ternakan.
: Asingkan ternakan yang terkena mastitis dan beri rawatansecara individu
: Mastitis merupakan suatu penyakit yang dihasilkan oleh cara pengurusan yang kurang baik serta kebersihan yang tidak dijaga dengan betul.

Foraging theory is a branch of behavioral ecology that studies the foraging behavior of animals in response to the environment in which the animal lives. Foraging theory considers the foraging behavior of animals in reference to the payoff that an animal obtains from different foraging options. Foraging theory predicts that the foraging options that deliver the highest payoff should be favored by foraging animals because it will have the highest fitness payoff.
Robert MacArthur, J M Emlen, and Eric Pianka, first proposed an
optimal foraging theory in an independent paper in 1966. This theory argued that because of the key importance of successful foraging to an individual's survival, it should be possible to predict foraging behavior by using decision theory to determine the behavior that would be shown by an "optimal forager" - one with perfect knowledge of what to do to maximize usable food intake. While the behavior of real animals inevitably departs from that of the optimal forager, optimal foraging theory has proved very useful in developing hypotheses for describing real foraging behavior. Departures from optimality often help to identify constraints either in the animal's behavioral or cognitive repertoire, or in the environment, that had not previously been suspected. With those constraints identified, foraging behavior often does approach the optimal pattern even if it is not identical to it.
There are many versions of optimal foraging theory that are relevant to different foraging situation. These include:
The optimal diet model, which describes the behavior of a forager that encounters different types of prey and must choose which to attack
Patch selection theory, which describes the behavior of a forager whose prey is concentrated in small areas with a significant travel time between them
Central place foraging theory, which describes the behavior of a forager that must return to a particular place in order to consume its food, or perhaps to hoard it or feed it to a mate or offspring.
In recent decades, optimal foraging theory has frequently been applied to the foraging behaviour of human
hunter-gatherers. Although this is controversial, coming under some of the same kinds of attack as the application of socio biological theory to human behaviour, it does represent a convergence of ideas from human ecology and economic anthropology that has proved fruitful and interesting.
Important contributions to foraging theory have been made by:
Eric Charnov, who developed the marginal value theorem to predict the behaviour of foragers using patches;
Sir
John Krebs, with work on the optimal diet model in relation to tits and chickadees;
John Goss-Custard, who first tested the optimal diet model against behaviour in the field, using redshank, and then proceeded to an extensive study of foraging in the Common Pied Oystercatcher.

In agriculture, fodder or animal feed is any foodstuff that is used specifically to feed domesticated livestock, such as cattle, goats, sheep, horses, chickens and pigs. Most animal feed is from plants but some is of animal origin. "Fodder" refers particularly to food given to the animals (including plants cut and carried to them), rather than that which they forage for themselves (see forage). It includes hay, straw, silage, compressed and pelleted feeds, oils and mixed rations, and also sprouted grains and legumes.
The worldwide animal feed industry consumed 635 million tons of feed (compound feed equivalent) in 2006, with an annual growth rate of about 2%. The use of agricultural land to grow feed rather than human food can be controversial; some types of feed, such as corn (maize), can also serve as human food, while others such as grass cannot. Some agricultural by-products which are fed to animals may be considered unsavory by human consumers.

In the past, mad cow disease spread through the inclusion of ruminant meat and bone meal in cattle feed due to prion contamination. This practice is now banned in most countries where it has occurred. Some animals have a lower tolerance for spoiled or moldy fodder than others, and certain types of molds, toxins, or poisonous weeds inadvertently mixed into a food source may cause economic losses due to sickness or death of the animals.

Sprouted grains as fodder
Fodder in the form of sprouted grains and legumes can be grown in a small-scale environment. Sprouted grains can greatly increase the nutritional value of the grain compared with feeding the "raw" (ungerminated) grain to stock.

Anglo-Nubian

The Anglo-Nubian, or simply Nubian in the United States, is a breed of domestic goat.
The breed was developed in Great Britain of native milking stock and goats from the Middle East and North Africa. Its distinguishing characteristics include large, pendulous ears and a "Roman" nose. Due to their Middle-Eastern heritage, Anglo-Nubians can live in very hot climates and have a longer breeding season than other dairy goats. Considered a dairy or dual-purpose breed, Anglo-Nubians are known for the high butterfat content of their milk, although on average, the breed produces less volume of milk than other dairy breeds.

Anglo-Nubians are large, with does weighing at least 135 lb. (61 kg.) [3] and 175 lb. (79 kg) for bucks. The minimum height of the breed, measured at the withers, is 30 inches (76 cm) for does and 35 inches (88 cm) for bucks [1]. Like most dairy goats, they are normally kept hornless by disbudding within approximately two weeks of birth.





History





The Anglo-Nubian breed originated in England as a cross between the Old English Milch Goat and the Zariby and Nubian bucks imported from India, Russia, and Egypt. They have been exported to most countries from England and in the United States are referred to as simply Nubians.





Breed characteristics





The typical Nubian is large in size and carries more flesh than other dairy breeds. The Nubian breed standard specifies large size, markings can be any color, the ears are long, pendulous, and the nose is Roman. The Nubian temperament is sociable, outgoing, and vocal. Because of its elongated ears and sleek body, the Nubian is occasionally nicknamed the "Lop-Eared Goat" or "Greyhound Goat".





Breed standard





According to the American Dairy Goat Association the Nubian goat should be:
[ ] a relatively large, proud, and graceful dairy goat of mixed Asian, African, and European origin, known for high quality, high butterfat, milk production.

The head is the distinctive breed characteristic, with the facial profile between the eyes and the muzzle being strongly convex (Roman nose). The ears are long (extending at least one inch [2.54 cm] beyond the muzzle when held flat along the face), wide and pendulous. They lie close to the head at the temple and flare slightly out and well forward at the rounded tip, forming a "bell" shape. The ears are not thick, with the cartilage well defined. The hair is short, fine and glossy. Any color or colors, solid or patterned, is acceptable.





Uses





The Nubian's size makes it a very useful dual purpose animal. The Nubian breed leads the way for the dairy breeds in butterfat production: it produces on average, 5% or more butterfat content. This is surpassed only by the Nigerian Dwarf , Pygmy goat and Boer goat breeds, which are less likely to be used for large scale milk production, as for a dairy or cheese making. Because of the higher fat content, the Nubian milk has more flavor than lower fat milks. Milk production is lower than other dairy breeds on average.

The Boer goat was developed in South Africa in the early 1900s for meat production. Their name is derived from the Dutch word "Boer" meaning farmer. The Boer goat was probably bred from the indigenous goats of the Namaqua Bushmen and the Fooku tribes, with some crossing of Indian and European bloodlines being possible. They were selected for meat rather than milk production; due to selective breeding and improvement, the Boer goat has a fast growth rate and excellent carcass qualities, making it one of the most popular breeds of meat goat in the world. Boer goats have a high resistance to disease and adapt well to hot, dry semi-deserts. U.S. production is centered in west-central Texas, particularly in and around San Angelo. The original US breeding stock came from herds located in New Zealand. Only later were they imported directly from South Africa.
Boer goats commonly have white bodies and distinctive brown heads. Like the Nubian goat, they possess long, pendulous ears. They are noted for being docile, fast growing, and having high fertility rates. Does are reported to have superior mothering skills as compared to other goats. Mature Boer bucks weigh between 110-135 kg (240-300 lb), and mature does between 90-100 kg (200-220 lb).

Commercial meat production

Meat goats are minimal care animals that are browsers by nature, preferring brush, shrubs, and broadleaf weeds rather than grass. Boer goats raised for meat production are typically raised on pastures. The main reasons for this are twofold: pastured goats are on average healthier animals than pen-raised goats; secondly, it costs far less to raise Boer goats on a diet of brush and weeds, than on bags of commercial feed. The ideal option is adequate year-round grazing with only mineral supplementation. Boer goats can be raised effectively in combination with cattle or sheep due to their preference for browse and the resulting limited impact on the grass cover. They do compete with other browsers, such as deer.
Trace minerals, especially copper, are particularly important to good goat health. Feed and mineral blocks marked "for sheep and goats" should be avoided. Copper in quantities suitable for goats is toxic to sheep, so dual sheep/goat feeds will almost always lack sufficient copper for goats. Copper deficiency is known to cause anemia, diarrhea, infertility, spontaneous abortions, and lethargy.

The three main cost of any Boer goat operation are land, goats, and fencing. Fencing is the second most important thing for goats after land. Without good, strong fencing, you can not have any goats. If goats are not overstocked then fencing is much less of an issue; however, goats are clever and stubborn and there are usually a few in every herd who dedicate themselves to mining every inch of the fence line looking for a weak link. Once it is discovered, they make the most of it, and the rest of the herd will not be far behind. Most farmers use 12.5 gauge fencing, with commercial 1047-6-12.5 (six-inch holes) being the least expensive and most common, however an electrically charged wire or three placed in between the goats and the fencing is often required to prevent escapes. More and more producers are experimenting with 8 and 10 strand four prong barb wire, with good success. Wire weave fence is also very good for goat with the exception of when they get their head stuck in the fence. The most critical part of any meat goat operation is the selection of a herd sire (breeding buck). A high quality buck can produce high quality offspring even when mated with an average doe. Boer goats tend to gain weight at about the same rate as their sire, so a buck from a proven fast growing bloodline will command the highest price, as its offspring will tend to also be fast growers. The primary market for slaughter goats is a 15-36 kg (35-80 lb) kid; kids should reach marketable size at weaning age. The kid of a proven fast-growing sire might weigh 36 kg (80 lb) at 90 days, while the kid of a poor quality sire might weigh only 15 kg (35 lb) at 90 days. An average quality buck will initially be less expensive to purchase; however, they can significant undermine an operations long-term profitability. Other criteria for a breeding Buck include:
Jaw alignment – most meat goats are raised on pasture. A goat with poor jaw alignment will be at a significant disadvantage when feeding on pasture; poor jaw alignment is not acceptable in a commercial herd sire.
Good feet and legs: needed to move about the pasture. Hoof rot is a common problem for goats that live in high rain areas if the hooves are not clipped regularly.
Two well formed equal-size testes in a single scrotum: -the main purpose of a buck is to breed does.
For breeding purposes, one buck is normally required for every 25-35 does. Under ideal conditions the ratio can be as high as one buck for every 50 does. Bucks are normally separated from the does except for when breeding is specifically intended. Often does are bred for six weeks every 8 months, resulting in three kid crops every two years!
Successful bucks must be able to survive on pasture. Pen-raised bucks will stay near their pen, while the does they are supposed to breed are out in the pasture.

Does used to breed show quality goats are normally very large, as show goats are expected to be of large stature. For commercial meat production medium size does are normally preferred as they produce the same number of kids, but require less feed to do so.

A three year old buck
As a general rule the more kids born per doe, the greater profit margins for the owner. Boer goats are polyestrous (they can breed throughout the year), and they reach sexual maturity at 5 months of age. A typical breeding program is to produce 3 kid crops every 2 years; meaning the does are pregnant for 5 months, nurse their kids for 3 months, and then are rebred. Multiple births are common and a 200% kid crop is achievable in managed herds. Usually first time does will have one kid, but it is possible for them to have more. After that, they will have an average of two kids each time.
Weaning size is largely controlled by how much milk the mother produces, along with how long she allows each kid to nurse. Does weaning large kids should be kept, those weaning small to medium kids should be removed from the herd.
The presence of a buck causes does to come into estrus (heat) which lasts about 24-36 hours. The gestation period for does varies from 149 to 155 days.
Boer does are normally very good mothers, requiring only minimal attention from the owner; however, this is not always true when a doe delivers her very first kid. First time moms should be supervised as the mothering instinct may not manifest itself the first time she delivers. After the first time, Boer does normally make excellent mothers. If after that a doe does not present herself to have "mothering instincts" it is best not to keep her.

While purebred bucks are usually preferred for breeding purposes, it is common to use crossbreed does for kid production, with the resulting offspring being 7/8 or more Boer. Common crosses are Boer x Spanish goat, Boer x Angora goat, Boer x Kiko goat, and Boer x Nubian goat.
Percentage Boer goats are very common in commercial meat herds, and with those just starting out in the Boer goat business due to ease of acquisition and affordability. Over time, percentage animals can be bred up to American purebred status. An American purebred is a Boer goat of 15/16ths Boer blood (F4) for does and 31/32nds blood (F5) for Boer bucks. Bucks must be one generation of Boer breeding higher then does to achieve this status because they have the potential to spread their genetic pool much further then any single doe; a higher level of Boer blood lessens the chances of other breed qualities in the offspring. American purebreds can never be registered as Fullblood (FB), many breeders will still use a good American Purebred buck with excellent results.
Many producers still prefer purebred or fullblood bucks and does, and intentional crossbreeding is far from universal.
Note: The 'F' designation is the commonly used shorthand for indicating the percentage of pure blood (boer in this case) resulting from cross breeding of a Pureblood boer buck with does of other breeds:
F1 : 1/2 boer blood (Pureblood buck sire, other breed doe)
F2 : 3/4 boer blood (Pureblood buck sire, F1 doe)
F3 : 7/8 boer blood (Pureblood buck sire, F2 doe)
F4 : 15/16 boer blood (Pureblood buck sire, F3 doe)
F5 : 31/32 boer blood (Pureblood buck sire, F4 doe)

Although Boer goats raised specifically for show purposes may seem to have little in common with pastured commercial goats, the difference is superficial. They are bred to be larger than normal goats, and meet specific visual appearances, but these very characteristics are valuable genes to add to the commercial herd. Boer goats were originally imported into the US and other countries for this very reason. Their value to ranchers lies in the improvement the addition of their unique genes can offer any breed of goats being raised for meat. Few producers could afford to maintain a herd of essentially useless animals. Show goats are bred to represent the most desirable characteristics of the Boer goat. And their main purpose is to introduce these animals to the public. It is also a method of recognizing the best of the best, although some really superior goats are not shown due to owner preference. Bucks and does that have been bred for show can be and often are used for commercial breeding stock.[1] To show, most Boer goats have to be registered with either the ABGA, IBGA, or USBGA.

Once a section of pasture has reached is full capacity, adding more goats becomes counterproductive. Adding goats does not increase the owner's profit margin. Overstocking results in forage resource depletion, weed and toxic plant problems increase, parasite loads increase, overall health of the animals declines, and the goats fail to gain weight. In addition, rainfall becomes less effective because the soil has been laid bare, so what rain that does fall turns to run-off instead of being absorbed; thus drought management becomes much harder or impossible. All these factors reduce profit. It is not possible to starve a profit from livestock or rangeland. eat meat its yummm

In other breeds of goats it is a disqualifying trait to have more than two teats, Boer goats have been bred to have two or four, to easier nurse the higher numbers of kids they have been bred to have. Although the different breed registries do not agree 100% on other aspects, they do agree that up to two teats per side is acceptable.

2 syawal 1429 hijrah bersamaan 2 oktober 2008, kambin ettawah yg dibeli awal tahun 2008 (beli dgn encik omar, air merbau jasin melaka 016 6236174) telah berjaya lagik sekalik melahirkan 2 ekor anak betina jeng jeng jeng..march sudah klua seko jantan, oktober plak klua 2 betina..
insya Allah jika takde aral melintang..bulan 11 ni akan bertambah lagi bil anak anak kambing hehehe..banyak dah yg sarat..jumpak lagi yaaaa

Dilema nya....



Assalamualaikum..


Sempena Ramadhan Al-Mubarak..selamat pose pada sume..baru-baru ni saya sekeluarga balik kampung sempena awal ramadhan..ramai gile pasal suma balik ..hari ahad 31 ogos..kami buat pasang pipe untuk sprinkler..untuk siram rumput napier la.lotih la jugak..MERDEKA dgn kambing hehe..


Sebelah malamnye pulok, kami anak beranak berkumpul membincangkan satu masalah negara..di mana tanah tanah di kampung ini akan di ambil kerajaan untuk projek keretapi rel berkembar..banyak jugak la tanah yang kena termasuk la tanah orang tua saya..abih la..mana pulak la nak tinggal...kambing pun terkena la tempias nya..kena relocate belaka..dilema ni..raya nak dekat plak tuhh



sakit pala la abah..adam tido dulu le ye..camno nak balik kampung pasni ??

Bila Izrail Datang Memangil...

Assalamualaikum wbt & salam sejahtera..

Saya telah dimaklumkan oleh bapa saya melalui sms, bahawa seekor kambing betina Ettawah yang di bawa masuk pada bulan Januari 2008 telah 'selamat'. Sebelum ini, kambing tersebut telah tergolek dog di dalam kandangnye (mei/jun) dan tak bleh bangun. Atas sebab keselamatan, ia dialihkan ke kandang lama. Keadaan nye selepas tu improved, bleh bangun, bleh makan dan bleh bersilat dan bleh mcm mcm la. Muskil sungguh la penyakit kambing ni. Mungkin ini bukan rezeki kami. Ayah saya mempunyai analisis tersendiri. Mengikut kata ayah saya, "kambing ni dah tuo la". Mati sakit tua kot.....

Lamo eh tak update ??

Salam sejahtera..lama gile x masuk site nih..kabar suma? kambing² sekalian sehat..bagus le gtu..nk kongsi bite best ngan hangpa..no 1 aku dah jadik bapak...muhammad adam haris telah selamat dilahirkan pada 0124 am 22 maret 2008 secara ceaseran..no 2 kambin kami dah bertambah sebanyak 9 eko (dari awal maret - 11 may 2008)..6 dari produk kandang kami dan 3 dari kambin ettawah yang di bawak masuk on jan 2008..senyum lebar den nengok..Insya ALLAH ada lagi 2-3 eko yang coming soon untuk delivered..Alhamdulillah murah rezeki...

Kambing Kiko



General characteristics


The primary characteristic of the Kiko goat is its hardiness and its ability to achieve substantial weight gains when run under natural conditions without supplementary feeding. In addition, the female is capable of conceiving, carrying and giving birth to and rearing multiple offspring without intervention under less than ideal conditions. The Kiko is an aggressive forager capable of thriving under conditions of feed deprivation and any characteristic which detracts from its ability to range and forage should be severely penalized.

Head


A strong head with bold expression. A moderate forehead lets down into a well proportioned nose, neither convex nor concave. Nostrils wide with slight flare. Eyes generally brown with alert expression. Eye color other than brown should not be penalized. Mouth well formed with tight lips over well fitting jaws: slight undershot permissible as an aid in browsing. Horns well spaced, strong and solid with characteristic outwards sweep.

Mature males display a distinctive shallow spiral in horn conformation. Horns may be cropped in animals greater than twelve months without penalty. Ears comparatively set high and of medium breadth and moderate length, not pendulous. Prick ears undesirable.

Characteristic culling faults
Concave or convex face.
Roman nose.
Overshot jaw.
Excessively undershot jaw so that teeth are visible.
Horns tightly swept back, too close together, touching the neck or too straight
Parrot mouth.

Neck and forequarter


Neck medium in length and well proportioned relative to body capacity: full and well muscled and flowing into forequarter. Shoulder well laid and well muscled with tight attachment. Fore chest prominent and strong but in proportion to body size. Front legs strong with good shoulder angulation - length from wither to elbow should approximate length from elbow to ground. Pasterns strong with well formed hooves.

Neck too long or too thin.
Bull neck.
Loose shoulders.

Body


Body long, broad and compact. Ribs well sprung and of moderate length displaying good girth. Loins long and well fleshed. Back strong and reasonably straight.

Excessively short back.
Slab sides.

Hindquarters
Rump broad and flat without severe slope. Thighs well fleshed to the hock. Hocks well angulated. Tail straight and mobile.
Characteristic culling faults
Steep or short rump.
Straight hocks.
Poorly fleshed thighs.


Legs and feet
Strong and well placed indicating endurance and agility. Legs should be parallel, well angulated and turn neither in nor out. Strong hocks and pasterns. Hooves neatly formed with pronounced interdigital division. Any condition of the hoof which affects the animal's ability to move freely should be severely penalized.

Characteristic culling faults
Forelegs turning in or out.
Cow hocks or sickle hocks.
Poor rear angulations.
Dropped pasterns.
Any abnormality of the hoof.

Skin and coat


Smooth supple skin which is neither too tight nor too loose. Some dewlap may be evident in mature males and should not be penalized. Skin may be pigmented or not but darker skin is to be preferred. The coat may vary according to climatic conditions and there is a marked variation between summer and winter coats. Coat may vary from short, slick and lustrous to moderately profuse hair: the former is to be preferred but the latter should not be penalized. Some down appearing in the coat is permissible. Wattles occasionally appear and should not be penalized. The predominant coat color is white which is desirable but any other color is equally permissible.

Reproductive organs
Males: testicles even sized and well formed. Scrotum ideally undivided, compact and held high. Sheath neat and accessible.
Females: udder well formed, moderately capacious and well attached. Two well placed, medium sized, functional teats with adequate orificies. Non-functional supernumerary teats should not bre penalized.
Characteristic culling faults
Males:
Divided scrotum.
Small testicles.
Pendulous scrotum.
Loose sheath.
Females:
Split udder.
Pendulous udder.
More than two functional teats.
Poor udder attachment.
Either sex:
Hermaphroditism.


Size and appearance


A medium to large animal displaying the ability to produce meat. Mature animals tend to be square with the height of the animal from the wither to the ground approximating its length from the wither to the root of the tail. The fore chest should reach the elbow of the foreleg. Males are distinctively larger than females and each sex unmistakably displays the characteristics of its gender.

Selamat Tahun Baru 2008 !!

Selamat menyambut tahun baru 2008..Sempena tahun baru ni mari la kita ramai² berusaha menjadikan perniagaan sebagai sumber pendapatan dan mari mengenali kambing pedaging jenis Boer. Tengah hangat di pasaran penternak kat Malysian ni...

Ramai dikalangan kita memilih untuk dapatkan kambing boer yang paling berkualiti. Namun tidak semua mengenali generasi-generasi boer. Mari kita lihat beberapa tips untuk mengenali baka boer terbaik sebagai contoh ternakan kita.

Boer Full Blood (FB)

Ini adalah generasi kambing boer yang dibawa daripada Afrika Selatan. Badan tegap, kaki depan lebih panjang sedikit daripada kaki belakang. Ekor melentik. Warna kambing boer tulen keseluruhan kemerah-merahan atau hitam. FB juga terdapat dalam pelbagai warna dan struktur fizikal. agak sukar untuk menentukan Kambing boer yang asal (original boer). Oleh itu, nasihat saya pada penternak supaya mengenalpasti boer FB berdasarkan sijil kelahirannya (born certificate).

Bukan hanya sijil kelahiran boer yang menjadi pengesahan dan bukti ketulenan boer. Tetapi ilmu juga penting supaya kita tidak tertipu. Jadi berhati-hati dalam memilih boer yang berkualiti.


Feral

Kambing liar Australia. Petani di sana menangkapnya disekitar hutan dan menjualnya ke seluruh dunia terutamanya Malaysia. Di Indonesia mereka juga memanggil kambing ini sebagai Kambing Kachang kerana ia telah lama dibawa masuk ke Indonesia dan berbercampur-gaul dengan kambing tempatan. Namun kambing ini di Indonesia tidak berbulu lebat ini membezakanNya dengan Feral Australia.


Boer F1

Boer FB jantan yang di kacukkan dengan kambing feral betina yang berwarna putih. Menghasilkan boer F1berwarna putih keseluruhan dan bentuk badan masih bercirikan feral.


Boer F2


Boer FB dikacukkan denga boer F1 menghasilkan boer F2. Ciri-ciri utamanya ialah kepala berwarna coklat tetapi agak kabur warnanya. Bentuk badannya juga masih kurang ciri-ciri boer yang berkualiti.


Boer F3

Boer F3 adalah kacukan antara boer FB dengan boer F2. Ciri-ciri utamanya ialah kepala berwarna coklat kemerah-merahan. Bentuk badan menyerupai kambing boer FB. Kualitinya sangat baik dan banyak dibawa masuk ke Malaysia.

Boer F4

Begitu juga boer F4. Ia juga merupakan kacukan antara boer FB dengan F3. Kepalanya berwarna coklat lebih gelap berbanding boer F3. Keseluruhan kepalanya coklat kemerah-merahan dan kehitam-hitaman. Bentuk badan menyerupai kambing boer FB juga.

Boer Purebred (F5 - F7)


Kacukan ini memperlihatkan pengaruh gen boer yang kuat. Secara keseluruhannya, kelihatan boer purebreed hampir sama dengan boer FB. Cuma terdapat tompok-tompok putih atau tompok-tompok coklat di badannya. Warna coklat kemerah-merahan bukan hanya terdapat di kepala tetapi turut terdapat di badan. Boer generasi ini juga sangat berkualiti untuk dijadikan baka (pejantan).
